  • Great :)

    How many years do you play guitar?

  • @SeaJamie Thanks! When I recorded this video I've been playing for about 3 years.

  • What effects do you use (parametres or levels) and what EQ?

  • @GregorySpikeMD I already don't have this patch. Anyway i used a (medium set.) phaser, Custom amp (Modern Stk), OD-1. I can give you 2 advices for what i'm doing on all of my patches.

    1) In 'preamp' settings, change 'SP type' from 'orgin' to 'Custom', than change 'SP Size' from 12' to 15'. Also, change 'SP number' parameter to 8. It makes the direct sound much more natural.

    2) Even if you have a humbucker-based guitar - in FX-1 turn on 'guitar-sim', and change to 'S->H' .

    Hope it'll help :)

  • @Vordrab Well, i also have an ibanez but SA, however i have a peavey vypyr amp, so the boss based things didn't really make sense to me but, just to get things clear, mid lvl phaser?

    what lvl of distortion? so you have low mid hi eq's or no? is there something about the guitar itself, like neck or bridge pickups?

  • @GregorySpikeMD Well I think it won't work. I've never played vypr as well as SA - you have to figure it on your own - because every effect/ multieffect/ amp etc is different - so I can't really tell you how to get that type of sound with your gear. You should try checking some van halen forums - there are for sure all settings/ effects Eddie had been using on their songs. Maybe they'll help you.

    Cheers!

  • @Vordrab aah i might try it :D although most sounds that come from my guitar are unwanted lmao

  • @diiv2k8 It's a hair scrunchie - many guitarists use them for muting unwanted string noise :)

  • what's the green thing ?

  • 3.8 / 5 Use less natural harmonics
