Praying to End Abortion

Fr. Frank Pavone, National Director of Priests for Life, explains why we pray to God when God clearly already knows what He wants to do. In the Lord's Prayer, He commands us to pray, "Thy Will Be Done." Yet as God carries out His will, He wants us to be involved in what He is doing. His will is that our prayers and actions do make a difference in the building up of His Kingdom. Therefore, we who are pro-life are to pray fervently every day for an end to abortion. Maybe Christians should be more concerned about the kids that actually are already born. Where is the Christian outrage about kids getting their limbs blown of in War. If Christians put as much effort and prayyer into ending war, that might have a greater overall benefit to man.

@ZinkDude Well I'm not sure which Christians you're talking about, but let's put it this way...If our government made legal the deliberate, planned dismemberment of such children (you can substitue bombs for surgical forceps for the sake of argument if you want -- it won't make a moral difference), and it were happening to 50 million per year, I think you'd see outrage comparable to what you see now over abortion, because that's exactly what's happening with abortion.

Our Lady of Guadalupe, pray for us!!!

When Mary appeared to St. Juan Diego and left the image of Our Lady of Guadalupe on the cloak of St. Juan Diego human sacrafice was brought to an end in what is now modern day Mexico. She did it once, she can do it again. Pray to Mary for an end abortion, pray the Rosary to end abortion.

I hope also Father, that we shall bring into this matter, how much these poor women can suffer in their hearts and minds following abortion. Frequently they are pressured into this decision, not least by such a misguided society. Lord have mercy and help us to get back on tract, the only track for humanity, by trusting in You who is already proven and worthy. And dearest Jesus, in Your mercy, please comfort all those who are suffering and bring us all back into Your immaculate care. Amen
