  • @vdubvance The blue ray will come on and the disk spins for less than a second and stops. Now here's the kicker, when a disk is inserted with the white magnetic bushing removed, the disk will rev up and the blu ray will start lighting up as if it wants to read. so motor works, lasers work... any ideas? maybe my lens is out of alignment? I'm having bf3 withdrawl's bad.... Burnt right after download of new maps.

  • @MissLaazlo Mine is the same, Ordered a "working" drive off ebay and noticed the differences right off the bat. All the videos online are showing a diff sys than mine. Mine has a plastic power supply, the disc drive dose not have the optical sensor on the top and the disc drive logic board is internal. So "new" drive is on return and I dont want to do this again if they are just going to send the same part.

    When troubleshooting the original drive, I found that when a disk is inserted, ---

  • Thanx Dude, i tried to help out my neighbours kid and infact all it needed was a bit of rubbing alcohool and a qtip to clean the lens and it was good to go, A1 :)

  • Do you have to buy a new laser when you switch it with the broken one?
