If your´re writing bad lyrics take it easy, it´s like with a guitar player: He can´t use any improvised thing for a song, especially when he has not very much experience. If you feel that you want to write lyrics just keep doing it and maybe something very good will come out. My experience is that the biggest obstacles for writers are perfectionism and the lack of patience
