Rimbaud, Poetry & Rock'n' Roll -- an Expanded Conversation | Patti Smith @ Giardini della Biennale

The time has come for the second in the Meetings on Art, a series of conversations with artists, curators, philosophers and scholars organized by the Biennale di Venezia chaired by Paolo Baratta, as part of the 54th International Art Exhibition ILLUMInazioni, curated by Bice Curiger.

Following the success of the first lecture/informal discussion with Laurie Anderson, the second meeting - Rimbaud, Poetry & Rock'n' Roll -- an Expanded Conversation -will feature the participation of artists PATTI SMITH and KARL HOLMQVIST.

It will be held at the Giardini, in the para-pavilion by Oscar Tuazon, Saturday September 3rd at 4 p.m. and will be open to visitors holding an entrance ticket valid for that day (in case of bad weather, the event will be held in the Teatro Piccolo, Arsenale). The conversation, introduced by Bice Curiger, will concentrate on the figure of Arthur Rimbaud. The title of the 54th Exhibition is an explicit reference to his Illuminations, the collection of prose poems published in 1886.
