Why connect just speakers? No reason really so lets connect other things like light bulbs.

  • when i was young , i put small LED's to the terminals of my small stereo's phonespeaker , along with capacitors (for frequency filtering) so each led would blink according to the intensiti on sounds of certain frequencies. i was 7

  • @TheKaos90 That's a really fucking smart idea!

  • This will indeed work - but if anyone has an older design amp (especially some of the early high end B&O stuff, be VERY careful as if they see more than about a 6 ohm load they die, if they go open circuit (bulbs pop), they can also die.

If you have a good resilient valve or mosfet amp, yes, you can indeed do this if you want :)

  • @guymark really, in my case I found the older amps to react to ohms under 6 pretty well. Besides the resistance of a light bulb is pretty high, even warmer at a hot temperature when on so even safer during a larger energy spike. The amp I used in this was a 25 ish year old sanyo amplifier, I had it run a 2 ohm load on 2 4 ohm subs in parallel and it still ran for 2 -3 years before one sub coil came undone and shorted it out. The newer amps, some being under spect and more mass produced I'd watch

  • guys 4 leds are working on 12 volts ?

  • @TheZoly13 No they can but this is not what this video is.

  • @TheKaos90 cool story bro

  • Instant Disco!

  • @skyheart97 Just as you would a speaker to an amplifier.

  • how do u connect it

  • @goktug123123 I killed my favorite amp by connecting an 80 watt scooter motor to it... sad sad day.

  • i connected a motor to amp, and it vibrated i opened the volume and it burned

  • @hobomnky I use some 5 volt output linear voltage regulators from radio shack for LEDs.

  • @Zenodilodon You're right. LED's are driven by current and not voltage. The voltage is only needed to pass the pn-junction. But if you convert your analog signal from the bass to a digital signal (pulsewidthmodulated, PWM for example) then the led will have constantly have the same voltage and you turn it symply on and off over the current.

  • @510pancho put a bunch of LEDs in series until they are closer to the voltage that the amp gives

  • make sure that the lights don't blow up

  • @510pancho Use a transistor switch.Google it if you dont know how to use it.

  • @510pancho Hi , you need to put an 1k resistor to your Led's to not burn and you will not have any problem:P

  • OMNIBUS!

  • @510pancho LEDs are not stable for this project, sorry.

  • My LED burned in 5 minutes. I need help with lights beating to music

  • @fujitsulifebooke342 Fuck leds! The way incandescent lamps look when they turn on and off is sicker looking and adds to the effect (especially the colored and/or higher wattage lamps)

  • @fujitsulifebooke342 Leds also seem to have a really short half life with the spiking voltages, I found even though incandescent lights where slower they lasted much longer.

  • You should try it with LEDs, they can turn on and off faster than normal bulbs

  • @Zenodilodon I would post the link if Youtube allowed it.
