A step-by-step intermediate tutorial showing you how to replace a sky using Adobe Photoshop CS5 or CS4. In the tutorial I am using CS5, but the steps will be the same for earlier versions of Photoshop.

  • hey where did you get your images for skies , and if you are the photographer what is your set up ? what camera do you use / lens /

  • @JujuiLuv Yeah, this sky is my own. When I'm out shooting or walking around if I see a nice sky I shoot it for later use. This was shot with a 5D Mark II and 16-35 f/2.8 lens. Any camera with a wide angle lens can capture a nice big sky.

  • great tutorial - fast, easy to follow and works a charm - i had some flat colourless skies that now look like a million fluffy bucks - thanks!

  • @rachaelbee cool, glad it was helpful

  • I am new to Real Estate photography and have watched over 20 videos to replace skies this is by FAR the BEST!!!

    Thanksyou Cheers Patty

  • @PopsDaRocker thanks, I'm glad you found it usefull. I used to do a lot of Real Estate Photography and every image HAD to have a blue sky, even if you could see rain in the foreground :) I used this technique a lot.
