  • Great video tutorial! You got me recording already and with a little tweaking capturing the audio being played on my machine too. I highly recommend the program "pulse audio control" to help trouble shoot any audio playback and recording issues.

    Rrecommend people avoid FLASH (FLV) altogether, it is a proprietary format.

    WebM is preferrable.

    ffmpeg -i source.ogv [or source.mov] [-s 558x314] [-aspect 16:9] -vb 500000 destination.webm

    I haven't tried cheese yet but that's a nice touch!
