WATH IN HD !!
This is Strip Steve - Breakin' from Delta Disco EP. I just sampled the vocal and the melody from the original song and then rebuilt the beat and play live with it ! This is made with a Korg ESX-1, a Korg Kaoss Pad 3 and a Roland SH-201. There are some little mistakes but I like this version :)

  • Keyboard part sounds really odd. You did a nice use of the KP3... After watching the video three times, I can read:"La Créateuf"...

  • @AndroidLife La Créateuf is a high school music contest I did with my band some years ago :) I agree that the keyboard part is not the best part of the song ... I remember doing this on a sunday afternoon, I only did one try with the video and I was too lazy to make another one so I put this one on youtube even though it was not perfect.

  • Ah, pretty sick. I love how futuristic our technology has become.

  • @DJDrDerek Thx mate !

  • I already have an ESX-1, do you think it's woth the money to buy a kp3?

  • @JollyJunkie the KP3 is a great piece of gear. It depend on what you plan to do with it. The effect on it are great, and it's really "user-friendly" ... I mean you touch it works ! But it's also kinda limited. If I had the choice now to buy the KP3 or something else, I probably buy a midi oriented controller. But that's because I moved from hardware to ableton. If you wanna be full hardware the KP3 is for you ! If you plan to play both hard and soft, it's not that good IMHO

  • t'as de beaux bras tu sais?

  • Some DJ's just hit play and a whole audience is screaming. I think he deserves respect for reprogramming it and adding changes. This would work well on a dancefloor. I'd have a break from the vocal sample for awhile and then bring it back later. There a quite a few little changes that he did...and all of them are very dancefloor appropriate and not too wanky or noodly.

  • @joedog96 Yep, you're right about the sound level. Yet, I still think (9 months later) that a little bit more release on the synth/VST or whatever would fit better in the stuff here...

I was just surprised of how bright the synth sounded, but since then I got pregnant and I'm going to deliver right here so, FTW!!!

  • @AndroidLife Yeah, it's just a bit oddly leveled. He just needed to lower the volume a tad~

  • This is shit

  • yeah..nice job dude! i just begann to use the electribe :)

  • very very good !!! ; )
