pt 1 - Coopers Beer Kit Review and Addressing CraigTube

I pretty much got this kit because of CraigTube's video promoted Coopers products.

So here I am addressing my concerns with the Coopers Beer Kit. This Coopers home brew beer kit was bought from the makebeer.net so it's a new, legit kit. I received basically damaged bottles and coopers products came 'not working' as advertised.

There are 3 other people online who are also having problems with the kit as reported by users at http://www.homebrewtalk.com Their problems are the leaking lids and lack of fermentation (which is the whole reason you are buying the product. That's like buying a car with square wheels - it defeats the purpose of buying a car.

Also my bottles came squished and damaged. About 5 to 6 of them so I was forced to get new bottles.

This is a hobby. When you sell a hoby based product, you have to expect people are going to post reviews.

I refuse to be sent broken, shotty products that do NOT do what they claim on the package and just sit down and shut up.

Here is the Cooper's beer kit which I do NOT recommend.

craigtube is right here. The ring around the top indicates that fermentation has/is occuring. a true brewer would understand to never look at an air lock and base the progress of the beer on that

@lockiebasham Nope. A true brewer ALWAYS sees action on the airlock, and so much so, that an air lock won't even work.

If there's no action from the air lock, it's likely a yeast/sugar problem.

I see a yeast cake around the top of your beer. I think it's ready to bottle dude. Don't add that yeast. Have you tested it with a hydrometer? You probably have a bad seal. Watch my airlock video to see how to check for a bad seal. Your brew is probably fine. Some people don't use an airlock at all, they just loosen the lid a bit. It's called the "burp" method. If you dump that batch, you've just wasted 5 gals of good beer, although if your a connoisseur, you might not like home brew anyway.

Clearly it fermented, you can see that it fermented when he shows you the fermenter. Its got all the dead yeast crap all over the sides above the brew.

Did you call or email the mfg to replace the bad portion? You can also call or write your local attorney general's office and they'll handle the mfg for you. What they do is send them a 10 day notification / demand letter, no BS. The BBB is bullshit.
