Cinematography project that I shot in downtown Sacramento based off the scene from "Ocean's 11." In this, I had to show the different looks and effects of the telephoto lens as apposed to the wide angle lens. What do you like better and why?

  • Wonderful comparison example. I'm still a beginner and trying to learn about lenses....this helped immensely thanks! Love the look of the wide with the est. shots but close ups in wide distort facial features...the med and cu's of the close ups look fantastic with the first telephoto lens. Great job!

  • @janetmichele111 lenses are a very big deal and knowing what makes a shot work and not work is important. glad you liked it!

  • damn, that's some good acting

  • I want to know two things, what are the specs on the lenses your using and what's the difference between lenses other than zoom? couldn't you just move the camera closer and farther as needed?

  • Both!!

  • thank you sir for this

  • thats some kick ass Behind the Scenes

  • mix e'm up, wide angle for stuff where you want the environment to be seen and telephoto during their conversation because it looks more professional and keeps the audience focused on what the characters are talking about
