No Eva should be played by someone who has worked in theatre for a long time because so much of the show rests on her. My school did Evita and even our Eva, who was really good in all other shows, was overcome by the amount that rested on her. In the end she completely lost her voice and that was with 3 months rehearsing and only 5 performances think what that could do to someone not used to the theatre playing in 8 shows a week on top of any rehearsals. I think she is great but not for Eva.

She wasn't right for Maria but she would be outstanding as Evas Peron in Evita . Such a powerful voice !
