Lennie also portrayed a comedian/impressionist who delivered a brief Kennedy impression (even though Carl Reiner usally stuck by his decision not to mention topical issues, slang or "current" references in his series) in the 1963 "DICK VAN DYKE SHOW" episode, "The Sam Pomerantz Scandals".
@GJNCA HORSE1492. 03/08/30/2011 A.D. WHO IS SHOUTING? THESE WOMEN WRE NOT DUMB NOR STUPID,PERIOD! BESIDES,ITS CLEAR TO SEE THAT THIER HUSBANDS WERENOT PRECISELY SAINTS THEMSELVES.
@GJNCA HGWT5763. 03/03/29/2011 A.D. THESE WOMEN WERE NEITHER DUMB NOR STUPID.OVER-ANNXIOUS,PERHAPS. BESIDES,A MAJORITY OF US,BOTH MALE AND FEMALE,MAKE MISTAKES ONCE IN A WHILE-ITS NO BIG DEAL.
@GJNCA Perhaps you are too literal. That's part of the fun.
As outside observers, we can predict what the characters who are too close to the situation may not see. In fact there are some people like this. It is not so much stupidity, but human nature, especially being caught up in the excitement and anxiousness of getting the task done. After all, didn't Pete sum it up? "Read the directions first"?
@GJNCA If the directions had been written clearly, the accident wouldn't have happened. But then this is comedy and an exaggeration of reality. Besides, if you'd gone through that experience, you might have been upset enough to kick it, too.
believe it or not- Harry and Cara are still alive, 95 and 85 respectively.
pete's buddy in this episode is the same guy who played the stand up comic who helped buddy do the practical joke phone calls on the hiarious Dick Van Dyke episode. I wonder if he got the gig through association with Richard Deacon.

@bigred997
Thats Lennie Weinrib. He was quite the prolific character actor, even more so doing voice overs for hanna barbera cartoons.
