that was so not done with a diffuser... more like they stopped taping for a bit so a bunch of expert hair stylists could make the hair look perfect so people would waste money buying a diffuser

Yeah I think that's not the right way bcause it turned out frizzy but if u have flat thin hair with absolutly no volum then I guess u can do it this way
