American Idol Ratings Drop Double Digits

Hi Idol fans, I'm Bridget Daly and you're watching ClevverMusic. American Idol premiered last night and the numbers are already in—and....they're not good. The first episode pulled in a 7.2 rating among adults aged 18 to 49 last night, which was a 27 percent drop since last January's premiere. 21.6 million tuned to Idol last night, which was an 18 percent drop since last season.
This was also the show's lowest-rated season opener since "Idol's" first season premiere. Yikes. Did you guys tune in? If not, what's your reason? I think that ANYBODY eliminated from the X Factor or The Voice's top 12 could EASILY win American Idol.. Idol just isn't finding star quality anymore...

It's definitely got something to do with the judges. Only one of the originals is remaining, the fair one. The other two are too nice...it's like having 2 Paula's and no Simon. Also, 1 season of Idol was awesome because it was a way to discover new music. Now, you can just come on YouTube if you want to hear a decent cover. Kelly Clarkson and Carrie Underwood are the only real stars that came out of Idol.

if they would look other places to like phoenix arizona maybe you could get more people because I'd try to go to that show and there's no way they pic me even if I hav
