Tommy Thompson believes business should be able to fire gays

From the May 3rd Republican Presidential Debate. Tommy Thompson believes that being gay is an acceptable reason for businesses to fire someone. Mr Thompson, if a business owner finds interracial marriage, Mormonism, being Hispanic, etc, as immoral, are those acceptable grounds for termination too?

I think that if they fire someone on certain grounds, say on a moral disagreement, then it shouldn't be a mystery to the now ex-worker. Is it wrong to not hire a KKK member if you run a business that is nonracist?

There is a lot wrong with a business owner running and hiring people based on their own moral basis. Its called discrimination. How about divorcees and the girls in the business that get abortions? Why arent they publicly dismissed? Its all discrimination.
