This video is on Jailbreak/Unlocking your iphone 3g and Jailbreaking iPod Touch 2nd gen (NON MC MODEL). You can check your iPod Model by going to settings on your ipod then general then About then look for Model.

Itunes 9.2 is required to do all this.

You will be using Redsnow 0.9.5 to jailbreak and Hacktivate your iphone 3g and/or iPod Touch 2nd generation.
If you are on 4.0.1 firmware then simply point iOS 4 in redsnow to jailbreak your devices respectively.

IMPORTANT 1: IF YOU HAVE AN IPHONE 3G USING AN UN-OFFICIAL SIM CARD (or No Sim Card at all) THEN AFTER UPDATING YOUR IPHONE FROM ITUNES TO iOS4 , YOU WILL SEE ITUNES LOGO AND USB LOGO ON YOUR IPHONE SCREEN. DO NOT PANIC. AT THIS POINT SIMPLY CLOSE ITUNES AND RUN REDSNOW 0.9.5. THIS WILL HACTIVATE YOUR IPHONE 3G AND OPEN IN NORMAL MODE.

***DO NO PANIC***
For now, the redsn0w 0.9.5 release supports only the iPhone3G and iPod Touch 2G at today's 4.0/4.0.1/4.0.2. It's still a beta, so you'll need to let Cydia reorganize, reload, and update after using redsn0w.

POSSIBILITIES:
1) You might see Cydia icon as white icon . To cure this you will have to open Cydia and add source "http://apt.saurik.com/cydia-3.7" . Let it run for few minutes , then reboot iphone.

** HAVE PATIENCE, Patience and more patience **
When you open Cydia It will keep loading its files from Cydia server. So keep it loading for another few minutes, then Upgrade all essentials. Now Install "Ultrasn0w" .(YOU MIGHT SEE THAT ULTRASNOW GIVES YOU CONFLICT ERROR LIKE "REQUIRED DEPENDICIES ARE NOT MADE FOR THIS FIRMWARE". As I said earlier, DO NOT Panic, Again reboot iphone and let Cydia Download its packages. Now go to Changes tab at bottom, Upgrade all. Then install "Ultrasnow" to Unlock your iphone 3g to any UnOfficial carrier. YOu will get it.

- GET YOUR APN SETTINGS by going to this website from your Safari Browser on your iPhone www.unlockit.co.nz Then Press Continue and then hit Custom APN. Now choose your Carrier. When Carrier is chosen then press Create Profile. Then hit Install. Done.

-GET YOUR MMS SETTINGS by adding this source in Cydia 'http://www.sinfuliphonerepo.com' Then install "T-Mobile iOS4 MMS Fix" . Then reboot. Done.
