http://www.mainsteam.co.uk/steam_launch.htm First steam test run of a '21st Century Steam Company' "Titanic" model Twin Cylinder Marine Steam Engine. Fitted on a bedplate with a coal fired boiler, Southworth Steam Pump, Mechanical lubricator & crankshaft driven water pump as well as a manual emergency hand pump. The plant had a Mainsteam condenser fitted. For the test in the workshop the boiler was being gas fired and only had 35psi on the clock, hence the feeble whistle tone.. The video was taken from a very small camera similar to the ones on mobile phones.

  • Nice job...but wasn't the Titanic engine triple expansion???

  • @dennyk1024 This is not actually meant to be a model of an actual "RMS Titanic" steam engine, it is the manufacturer's name of the steam engine model, because it is quite large for a miniature steam engine - ! The same manufacturer, 21st century Steam Company" makes a smaller steam engine called a "Windermere" like the type used in river launches.

  • @keithappleton Has anyone made a miniature scotch marine coal fired boiler? Is this a real triple expansion compound or is it simple expansion?

  • Beautiful steam plant you have built, Keith.

    Thanks for sharing it.

  • @keithappleton Do you by chance know if they have a website for the model engine

  • I UNDERSTAND.....THANKS FOR THE REPLY....
