This is a video I put together with footage from the Illinois Live Steamers. The song City of New Orleans I used is by Randy Scruggs, and I claim no ownership or rights to it.

  • Thanks for clearing that up !

How can I, a member of the Illiana garden railway society, get a chance to visit with you fine folks ?

  • @bebuks A decapod is not another name for a ten wheeler. A decapod is a 2-10-0 refering to its 10 driving wheels. A ten wheeler refers to a 4-6-0 because there are a total of ten wheels on the engine. However that does not mean that every engine that has ten wheels is a ten wheeler. A 2-8-0 is a Consolidation, a 2-6-2 is a Prairie and so on.

  • It's suprising how strong small scale model locomotives like those are sooooo strong!

  • Nice runs, decapod is another name for a

    10 wheeler.

You folks sure know how to 'hide out' well...

I've tried to visit for years but as close as I've gotten was the Cal Sag.....

  • @DirektorHockaday The 2-8-0 is known as a 'Consolidation', and the 4-6-0 is known as a 'Ten-Wheeler'. Idk what the 0-10-0 is called.

  • three questions where when and how wide is the track

  • I hate music on vids like this, but yours is the exception...the music was perfect, but would it be possible for you to post another vid like this without music so that we can hear the music of the loco's huffin and puffin?

  • @DirektorHockaday a couple PRR J1 2-10-4s on a 100 car train would make a nice sight.

  • @Fireheart528 10 wheeler refers to any steam locomotive that has 10 total wheels. such as a 2-8-0 or 4-6-0 or 0-10-0 etc.
