Admit you just made up this advice when taking a shower! :) You're busted...
Awesome videos, btw. Absolutely loving them. Useful stuff too, you manage not to make photography look scary for noobies.
Oh, and I totally agree that if you have a nice setting and some cool artifacts in it the best thing to add is a nice nude body. If I go pro I'll use the same approach, seriously.

I think your videos are so cool. I'm now a speedlite fan. The possibilities are endless. Also, can I achieve similar results using 420 EX speedlites?

That's a really great idea ! Thanks for sharing with us ! :)

To think I was going to try and make a softbox - when all you need is a shower curtain!

@j12gs2000 The shutter speed does not matter so much. I can't recall it, but usually I have it on 1/200s because that is the fastest speed that my camera syncs nicely with speedlights - yes, my cam is pretty slow :-) You know, the photo is lit entirely by the flash - which happens in max 1/1000s. How many extra time you let the shutter stay open is not important because during this extra time pretty much no light will hit the sensor so the extra time does not add to the exposure.
