@miksirikoitsen It is a tonal language. The same sound can be I think 7 or 8 sounds. Rising and falling and such like that. I found it hard to understand that concept until I got there and heard it "live" and in person. If you want to learn I'll bet there is nothing better than full immersion.

@milksirikoitsen - it is not hard to learn to speak Thai. It is easiest to start with food though. Good for survival purposes. 2 years should be plenty.
