we learned at school that people were getting mad because in our state they were doing a study on cow flatulence that was using alot of tax dollars, but the people didnt know that what they found out that cow flatulence is a huge producer of greenhouse gas because methane (which is in all livestock flatulence) which is like 10x worse then co2. and we have so much livestock that thats more then all the cars and planes, etc.

The problem its not the animals existence, the problem its their unnatural number, which its a consequence of meat-eating. If human being were not complete slaves of corpse-eating there would be no need to artificially raise animals at such an abnormal scale. The ecological consequences of meat eating are disastrous. There are a lot of websites and books which explain all that in a very detailed way. Read The Food Revolution by John Robbins, for example.

Lets be realistic, the change will be gradual (in fact it is being gradual). Just because millions of people stop eating meat every year, doesnt mean that animals will be destroyed, it only means that fewer animals will be raised for food (it also means less pollution). It is so simple to understand that. Its funny to see meat-eaters pretending they care for the animals they eat.
