George Michael chose to start his historic Wembley show on 9 June 2007 with a cover of the Tim Buckley song, Song To The Siren. This video shows that the road to Wembley was long.

  • the most beautiful voice in the world!!!!

  • Of course, this cover borrows a lot from the Cocteau Twins' version. But I'm okay with that, because it sounds amazing and so does this person singing it. <3

  • Not at all bad................

  • Ahhh, here's my vote: #1 Liz Fraser. #2 shockingly enough, THIS version. Who knew?

  • been in love with this ever since i first heard Liz Frazer do it!

    xNMfPNKX86c as been taken down.

  • pop cover

  • I first heard "This Mortal Coil" do this cover and instantly fell in love with it! But Tim Buckley performed it with SO MUCH PASSION and intensity when it's live. Georgy has a nice, smooth, &sexy voice - but I prefer the original. I'd like to hear Maynard James Keenan of Tool do a cover of this song, cuz I think he has a good enough vocal dexterity and range to do it justice.

  • I prefer this version personally. While Tim Buckley was ok...the accent got in the way.

  • i guess irenenieweg cut and pastes most of his replies on threads then?..lol.... soooo clueless is this guy, check Tim's awful vocals on many a youtube clip in here!!
