Oh Judith, you are so Australian and I mean that in the nicest way. What a beautiful song. We sang this at school when I was a child in England. It captivated me then and it does now as a long-time Kiwi. The poetry of your land is uplifting. Thank you.

The beauty of this versiobn is that it's played straight, with no stupid 'arrangement' flourishes. Some of the versions are so awful - even versions played by the Australian military. Just play the fucking song and stop butchering it! Go Seekers!

Funny how political correctness gets in the way of what's right. Waltzing Matilda will never be the national anthem of Australia but it is really. Anywhere in the world a few strains of Waltzing and everyone knows that's Australia. Wish Canada had something so recognizable.
