Audon Felix Garcia died in a field near Bakersfield in 2008. This heartbreaking story reminds us what is at stake with the CA Employee Free Choice Act, which Governor Schwarzeneger just vetoed.

With one year left in his term, we can't count on Gov. Schwarzenegger to change his heart or his mind. But the five declared or likely candidates for Governor -- Jerry Brown, Tom Campbell, Gavin Newsom, Steve Poizner and Meg Whitman -- can be pressured to pledge to sign this bill when the Legislature passes it again.

Take action by signing a petition to these gubernatorial candidates to promise to support this bill when the Legislature passes it again:

  • Swartzenstupid is such a biggoted piece of shit!

  • Really insightful.

  • Eh, ever heard of bringing water? I feel bad, but this can easily be avoided. Typical liberal ad appealing to pathos and nothing else.

  • Thank you for pointing that out, flactemnad. I certainly am for supporting the well-being of farm workers, and I am not anti-union, but let's have the facts--the nuts and bolts--of the bill. Not a sentimental appeal. JM

  • there's a typo on your video. "Neice" is mispelled.
