  • Regardless of Elvis' "drug" use, and subsequent death, NOTHING can take away from the fact that Elvis changed music.

Don't forget, he wasn't always "The KING", he did the hard yards too.... I honestly don't care what people think of him personally, as an artist, there is NO COMPARISON.

He is the one and ONLY King! He had the lot, looks, a fantastic voice, and was an excellent showman and performer. No-one can take that away from him. Right til the end, he was giving of himself for his fans.

''Elvis had an influence on everybody with his musical approach. He broke the ice for all of us.''

  • @SparkysSparklers I have to agree.I love a lot of music from Foreigner,Meat Loaf,Neil Diamond,The Band,Rush,Cream,The Beatles.I dont just listen to Elvis, but when he was on form in the early 70s I don't think there is another artist that can touch him.Nobody looked as good, nobody moved as good and nobody sounded better, when he was at the top of his game.Shows that come to mind include the '68 tv special, anything from 1970,Madison Square Garden,Memphis in'74(this show is unbelievable, vocally).

  • @shadymugs From the movie '' Elvis That's the way it is '' 1970 Las Vegas

  • The world loves elvis

  • A similar white triangular guitar pick to the one you see him holding in the first minute or so fell from his hand after dismounting from his guitar at the end of "Hound Dog", a couple of days later, where it was picked up by a fan seating closest to the stage, then sold close to thirtty years later at a charity action for a whooping US$10,000.
