israel is an immigrant state. There is no such thing as an 'israeli culture'; their culture is what is imported from other countries. the Shas's main following are orthodox mizrahim (arab jews) who came to israel after '48. Culturally they're not much different from typical arabs; political views, music, food. The music is basically arab music just sung in hebrew. some even still sing in arabic.
