Ryan Airs Boeing 737-800 EI-DAK is still operating in the companys old livery. As you can see engine number one as has the first part painted in new livery, As have the winglet on the left wing. The under base and titles are still in old company colours.

As far as i can see, I think that Ryan Air are painted this aircraft in to the new livery each time it goes in for engineering. As it will cost them toooooooo much to take the aircraft out of service to paint it.

At the time that video video was film, the aircraft was left idle. After crew landed aircraft, off loaded passengers and coming back to operate the 14:15 flight to Manchester.

This was filmed on, Saturday 20th June 2009 @ Dublin International Airport.
Bring you the best, Bradley !

  • I commented on your other video. I departed at around 9:00pm and i think i could see my flight in the background :D

  • This aircraft was due out at 14:15, so i don't think yours is in the background at nine.

  • the seats are more comfortable in the old livery

  • They also have seat back pockets making it more easyir to hide your camcorder. I thought i hit the jack pot, Maybe the old livery will still have normall safety cards. Sadly i was wrong. lol

  • Dublin?

  • Ahh i see, thanks alot man. I mean they have eye-brow windows on many aircraft well dated ones, dont see em much no new aircraft, like you say theyre deemed pointless. thanks again man.

  • I like the old livery, shame the majority are in the new livery though, not that it's bad, it's just nice to see an older one from time to time

  • @tom211t They are known as "eye-brow" windows, the older 737s were fitted with them, but Boeing eventually deemed them pointless, and as a result many airlines starting using "plugs" to cover them up.

They make no difference really, apart from making the aircraft look nicer and reducing cockpit noise slightly.

    Hope this answers your question

  • Or are they painted over

  • Wonder why theose litlle windows above the windshield are covered up.

  • the front of the engine is just a cowling replacement took off another plane
