" i wish I had locked him in the cage..." She cried into Miley's shoulder.
" It's okay, Dems..." Selena told her, rubbing her back.
Nick walked over to them, looking at Demi sympathetically. "Its not too late to search the airport though.." He gave Demi an awkward hug, and Miley gazed at him dreamily. Demi sniffed and shook her head. "Its okay Nick.. But thanks anyway.."
All of sudden, Nick quickly pushed past them gently shouting happily, "BRO!!" He hugged the guy tight and pulled away, "Where the hell have you been?! Mum and Dad don't even know that you exist.. I've been searching for a freaking month now!" Nick smiled widely and hugged him again, "It feels good to have you back." His brother smiled and hugged him back and pulled away.. "Dude, why didn't you run after the cat? You would have found me in the plane!" Nick looked at him confused. "How did you know there was a cat, Joe? And how did you know it ran away?!"
Joe laughed sarastically. "Why don't you think about your cat theories you were discussing with Demi? And I need to go do something." And with that, he walked towards the girls. Demi was wiping her tears and Miley and Selena were trying to comfort her. Joe instantly felt his heart break at the sight of her cry but he continued walking towards them.
Demi felt the presense of someone else and saw Joe walking towards them. She couldn't help but smile a little. Miley looked at Joe as well as Selena who looked back at Demi and smiled softly. "We should probably go... Come on Miles." Selena pulled away to leave Demi and Joe there.
Demi recognised something about him. "Hey." She pointed a finger at him. "You're Nick's brother.. Joe right...?"
Joe smiled at the sound of her voice and nodded.
Demi seemed pleased with her accusations. "Hes been looking for you for a month, I think.." Demi looked and mumbled to herself "And I just lost my bestfriend..."
Joe knew that if he was a cat he would have heard her but then he spoke, unsure of how his voice would sound "Well there's this girl named Demi who has a black cat that she would call either Chocolate or Kitty, and she would protect it from her father who could easily kill it. I may be crazy but I wonder if she has ever fallen in love before?" Joe looked into Demi's eyes and smiled
Demi stuttered in shock, "How did you know all that?! And... I don't know about love..."
Joe continued, "Well, sometimes a small act of love can do a great thing.. Even if it means making the person feel like flying, hearing the sounds of fireworks when thye kiss..." He walked around Demi in a circle and stopped behind, "Even if it means finding true love to change you from a black cat with chocolate eyes back to human who's been missing for a month, disappeared around the same time Kitty was found......."
Demi turned around to look at him a little freaked out. "O-kay.. You're freaking me out Joe.."
Joe took one step closer "Am I, Demi? Care to explain how I somehow know that you have a bruise on your back from when your father hit you with a bat?"
Demi stared at him shocked. "So what if I do...? That doesn't explain how you know my life!" demi's voice was shaking in fear but she was extremely curious
"Face it Demi. Who else was in the house apart from you, your father and the cat? If you don't believe me.. Maybe my eyes could reawaken your memory. How about when you talked cat theories with my brother Nick? That should help you figure out how I know."
