I found out about Yoko Kanno through a friend that had this song. I LOVE IT! Is there any other songs similar that you'd recommend? I'm an advid fan of tom waits and the waltzy style

@AmyCStar I'm so glad that you're enjoying Kanno along with Waits. If you're looking for single Tracks, I have just a couple I'm consciously aware of. One is by Jack Conte (of Pomplamoose fame), "The Way It Was Before." He has a video of him and a couple others performing the song here on youtube. /watch?v=Bbo_9kyt8CI If you enjoy that, be sure to check out Conte's "Train and Window Collection" /watch?v=21xu9_rtU0E .
I also adore Cibelle's cover of Wait's "Green Grass."

@hydrogenbomb You might also Check out Thomas Fersen. His "Les malheurs du lion" has a bit of the waltzy style I think you're referring to. Aldebert is another French artist you might enjoy. Try his "Dis-Moi Dimanche."
And though they're not always Waltzy, you might check out Massive Attack. When I was in the mood for minor carnival waltzes, I used to find some of their darker tracks equally satisfying. Try "Live With Me," "Black Melt," and "Teardrop."

Good song. Definitely another case of Yoko Kanno drawing very heavy inspiration from Tom Waits.

I'm glad to hear you're enjoying it w1nk3r! I was pretty astounded that it hadn't been uploaded when I searched for it late last year (which is why I decided to).
It's definitely one of Yoko Kanno's most fascinating compositions, in my humble opinion.
