I disagree with the commentators.
No, he didnt tell the bowler that he was going to do it.
Yes, you do have to tell the batsman if you are coming over or around the wicket.
But no, you do not have to tell them if you are going to bowl a slow ball or a bouncer or any type of ball you are going to bowl.

I don't think so.Mike Hussey and Shiv Narayan Chandrapaul are very good batsman no doubt,but they can't be compared to Sachin Tendulkar's caliber.

Ponting a fantastic player, until recently had a great team, so his wins are mostly team effort.
Very rarely does he have to win matches all by himself unlike KP and that's what gives KP the edge. Also, KP is a better bowler.
I don't believe IPL is any sort of an indicator of a player's worth though.
