This is from the episode S02E03 The New Kids on the Block. Seth goes to see Summer but he sees how she's happy with her new boyfriend Zach. Marissa tries to go see Ryan, but he's with Lindsay. Marissa and Seth commisserate on the dock afterwards, who would have thought we would be the loneliest people in Newport...The song is Worn Me Down by Rachel Yamagata. Enjoy!

Ryan's accent sounds IRISH not CANADIAN! But yes this show has the best soundtracks and introduced me to an entire library of music

The OC has one of the best soundtrack of any tv show hands down! That said I loved this scene, remembered it by listening to the greatest hits I compiled from The OC OST cds :D

To Lindsay haters: She was probably the cutest thing to ever show up on the series. Period. I also could not stand Marissa after the first three seasons. Summer ended up being more mature in my eyes, which is funny because in the first season she was supposed to be this whiny daddys girl or whatever.

1) I know she was damaged because of the Caleb situation, but DAMN Lindsay was a straight up basketcase. Well... Marissa was too, but at least she was hot. Lindsay was gross. And annoying. And snippy.

2) I'm not as patient as Seth, so I would've probably screwed up and quit talking to Summer altogether after this scene. Remember how she acted when they went to the party to celebrate his graphic novel? She was flaky as hell in the first two seasons.

3) Zach was the epitome of a giant douchebag.
