The lack of compassion from supposed "Christian" people is very troubling to me.

  • Government health care is against the libertarian or conservative POV

  • @PatriotInChief I didn't write this but I think it sums up your POV nicely....." The problem is that we all end up paying for other people's problems in the end, so why not do it in a responsible and less burdensome way....

  • You don't want to pay for someone's family planning mistake? Fine. Then you're going to pay for that kid to go to school for 18 years, and if his life turns out to be kind of hard-luck, you're going to pay for his incarceration, and the negative things he did to get incarcerated. And if he's a less-than-successful student/worker, you're going to pay for his lack of productivity in the workforce.

  • You don't want to pay for someone's health insurance? Fine. Then you're going to pay when your health care costs go up, when your borrowing costs go up, when he is a drag on the economy... and his drag on the economy will have a ripple effect - it will affect his family and his friends, who will have to sacrifice to help him, it will affect the good samaritan that tries to help him... all that is economic loss, and it all will eventually come back to you.

  • You're problem isn't that your selfish - we're all selfish - you're problem is that you're short-sighted and if you're really looking out for yourself over others, you're doing it wrong. It's better to pay a little upfront than a lot later.."

  • Who do you support for 2012?

  • They are such hypocrites and almost always call the kettle black! It's funny how right winged Christians are so against pro choice because it's "murder"! But yet are so easy going and supportive of the death penalty! Hmmm
