@reecelol12345 - breeding is a HUGE issue. The only breeders in the US use hormones. I am trying to get them to naturally spawn, but missed it in the spring. I am getting ready to put them into their winter sleep mode now. Healthy life is good, but I would really like to breed them at least once. Keeping two together is always risky. Even if they have been kept together for a long time with out incident.

Due to their bigger size, I feed day old chicks, mice and small rats. The chicks are less fatty than the mice/rats. Advice - hmmmm, they are great pets, usually kept individually?

Generally you need to keep these frogs by themselves. They will eat anything that moves and that they can fit in their mouths. Females are always smaller than the males. Males generally are around 8-9 inches svl and female don't get much larger than 6 inches svl. Babies are highly cannibalistic!! They almost have to be to survive with out much natural food in the spawning ponds.

They have all lived very well together for the entire summer. I am just now beginning to prepare to bring them indoors. The original number has decreased due to several deaths, but only one death was from male on female aggression. And I swear they have all grown quite well.
