Ronnie Delmonico (John Cassini) slaps around his cocaine addicted banker over a disappearing act and fifty million large ones that the banker is holding in safe keeping while the DEA, FBI and the Vancouver Organized Crime Unit are searching for crime boss Jimmy Reardon (Ian Tracey) over the murder of a DEA agent and an innocent civilian. The scene is set behind the façade of booze, strippers and sex at the Chickadee strip club which Jimmy and Ronnie use as a front for the illegal activities of the Reardon-run drug operation. It's the Canadian version of "The Wire". Which means it's awesome.

You can watch all the CSI stuff you want, but this CBC series that starts Oct. 1 for the second season is absolutely stellar. It is far more compelling than any US productions, IMHO. Very 'real' stuff.
