Snake is so badass he punches his way out of prison through the walls.

  • @mistamontiel BTW, just to respond for nothing, Dammit made a TAS of Snake's Revenge :

    watch?v=C0wxbInXY-U&feature=related

  • I started watching this TAS, but then I feel asleep.

  • @mistamontiel I should listen to some Snake's Revenge OST sometime, maybe you're right and the Metal Gear NES OST is the same as Snake's Revenge's.

  • @kefkasakura I understand now. Metal Gear 1 is ported to NES with differences. Then Snake's Revenge came which isn't Hideo's @ all.

Still..everything I hear in this upload are Snake's Revenge tunes, lol

  • @mistamontiel (next part of the comment, didn't have enough space)

But anyways, I see what you're talking about. The NES port isn't event close to accurate to the MSX2 version, mostly because was made by a spinoff company of Konami called Ultra Games. But if it was a english translation of the original game to be released in America, it wouldn't be as much as popular as it is, mostly because very few people know the MSX2 compared to the number of people that know the NES.

  • @mistamontiel The NES might be a heavily altered port like Wiki said, it's still a port. The scenario is still the same, the level design is quite the same (just with a Jungle sequence before entering the 1st building, and a inferior version of the underground base maze with the fake walls). A lot of the musics are changed, but not every one of them. The gameplay is the same too.

  • @kefkasakura It's still something else. Different musics and everything.

    wikipedia.

  • @kefkasakura The MSX2 game got ported in English to the NES..? Dang.

  • @mistamontiel I think you misunderstood.

What I said is that the game shown in this video is Metal Gear for the NES, which is a port of the original Metal Gear for the computer. MSX2. The game TAS'd in this video is not Snake's Revenge, and by the way this one is not a port of the original Metal Gear 2 : Solid Snake.
