Police and anti-government protesters have clashed with police in Senegal after a court ruled that incumbent President Abdoulaye Wade is eligible to run for office.

Wade, already 85-years-old, is now eligible for a third term as President of the country.

Musician Youssou Ndour who last year announced his interest in being a canditate, has been barred from participating in the elections.

Al Jazeera's Will Jordan reports.
