There are a lot of different sort of purrs. I you are in doubt, then watch their body language.
The high purring is usually friendly and happy though. The low purrs vary a lot in maening.
In this case I think the piggy at the beginning said "Brrr you!". :)

You have some gorgeous cavies, and I love when mine make that sound.. Just not at three o'clock in the morning when I'm slightly drowsy but awake (I don't get it either :S)
-
Liantjuh55-that noise means they are happy and comfertable in the enviroment they r in cleary you dont no anything about piggies
-
Nope. When you hear teeth clattering is when you need to keep away.
-
Wrong. That noise is associated with two things. When they're around a member of the opposite sex. ( Goes both ways, my female guinea pig does this around my male & vice versa ) And when they are happy. They clatter they're teeth when mad.
-
Well, that noise what the white gunea-pig did, isnt a nice noise, that means that hes scared, or hes mad :P
Bud they sweet
thanks.

No. They lay right down, relax and make that noise. Our Rosette is high-Pitched. She'll make that noise when she gets her chin scratched and so do her babies. I'm pretty sure she's... Enjoying herself. The keep-away noise is close, though.
