FRENSWOOD ACADEMY CH 10 part 1

**************STORY IN DESCRIPTION BOX***********

At the party with Bridget and Joe....
Bridget and Joe are dancing with a group of Bridget's friends when Stanley walks up to them.

Stanley: hullo, hullo! I was wondering when you'd finally join the party Joe and I see you've met Bridget too, [smiles at Bridget] welcome to our humble abode. Where're Kevin and the littlest Jonas?
Joe: oh they're at Bridget's with Haley and Alexandria . Actually Nick's not the littlest, we have a smaller brother, name's Frankie...
Bridget: wow really? How old is he?
Stanley: [frowning says quietly] he's at Alexandria's?
Joe: yeah dude that's what I said [turns back to Bridget] he's just seven turning eight in a month and he doesn't even know but I got him an awesome present it's.....
Stanley: [interrupting Joe] What are they doing?
Joe: erm, working on some project for History or something, I dunno...
Bridget: so what'd you get him?
Joe: well he loves webkinz...
Stanley: [mutters] excuse me

Joe gives him a quick nod of acknowledgment and turns back to Bridget
Stanley walks outside, takes out his phone and quickly dials Nick

Nick: hello?
Stanley: hello Nicholas, it's Stanley
Nick: oh hey, what's up man.
Stanley: [angry] why don't you tell me?
Nick: erm? I'm lost.
Stanley: So how's Alexandria doing? I mean you would know, your in her dorm.
Nick: oh, that. Dude don't even sweat it, were just friends working on an assignment together, really. How'd you know anyway?
Stanley: [with a calmer voice, obviously relieved] oh Joe told me
Nick: Joe?
Stanley: yeah he's here with Bridget. [spots Kevin a couple yards away, shouts to Kevin] Kevin!
Nick: Kevin? No I'm Nick ...
Stanley: no no no, I was shouting to Kevin but he didn't seem to hear me. Just kept walking with Haley.
Nick: Kevin and Haley are there too?
Stanley: yeah. Hey Nick, man I'm sorry. I overreacted. It's just...you know what she means to me.
Nick: [distant] yeah I'm starting to....but like I said, don't worry about it, I would never...
Stanley: thanks, I know you wouldn't. But I'll talk to you later okay?
Nick: yeah ok bye. [he about to hang up]
Stanley: wait Nick!
Nick: [puts the phone back to his ear] yeah?
Stanley: put in a word for me?
Nick: [gulp] sure thing

Back at the girl's dorm...
Alexandria's P.O.V
Alexandria walked out of her room to get another can of soda. She heard a ringtone and Nick answer his phone with a "hello." She continued walking toward the kitchen but on the way there she stubbed her toe on the foot of a chair.
Alexandria: "ouch!"
The living room was pitch black except for the light coming off of the TV where the movie was still playing.
Cursing a little under her breath Alexandria rubbed her big toe which was getting swollen, and glared in the dark at the source of her pain.

Alexandria: Hey guys, sorry to interrupt your fun but I gotta turn on the lights real quick I think my toe may need amputation. [she joked]
She flipped on the light switch and looked at her toe, checking the damage. When she looked up she noticed there was no one in the living room.

Alexandria: Okay, twilight zone much?
She whistled the twilight zone theme song as she hobbled back into her room.
