Let's Play: Castlevania, Aria of Sorrow [19] The Arena

PREVIOUSLY: Within the very darkest depths of the castle's foundations, Soma discovered a necropolis where the dead were being revived by the demon Legion. However, the lumbering amalgam of corpses - both fresh and rotted - was too slow for Soma Cruz's furious barrage of attacks, and it surrendered its soul to him. Beyond Legion was the Galamoth soul which contained the powered the nullify the effects of time distortion that were being used in the Inner Quarters. However, the task at hand was more pressing than backtracking to use the ability quite so soon. After rescuing Yoko from a ruthless attack by Graham, Soma was left with the promise that if he reaches the throne in the Master's Chamber, Arikado will explain everything to him.

SYNOPSIS: Beyond the scene of Yoko's near-murder was the Arena, an ancient ruins used to test the strongest minions of the Count in previous eras. Swarming with new and powerful fiends, the coliseum was a veritable garden of souls for Soma to harvest. After toiling through the phalanx of enemies on the upper floors, Soma arrived at the gladiator cages where three trials awaited him, each posing great danger if he wasn't careful. He cleared the first trial with no trouble before taking a short break at the second trial.

NEXT TIME: The first of the gladiator trials was passed with little problem, but the others might not be so simple. The first trial required great strength and dexterity to avoid the Lubicants and living statues. The second trial requires fast agility to avoid petrification while maneuvering through a maze of treadmills, motorized floors, and narrow gaps. And the third trial requires precise movement on a small platform to avoid the army of Beam Skeletons below. But what awaits Soma within the beast cage to the west is the greatest threat of all. Can Soma survive the gauntlet of challenges to discover the power he needs to finally ascend to the heights of the castle? Stay tuned!

hey buddy whats the most easiest way to het the souls??

@Bermans587 To get souls? There are a few good tips. 1. Find an area where there are either a lot of easily-accessible copies of the monster you're farming or a place near a save point so you can heal easily without going out of your way. 2. Equip items and armor that boost Luck as high as possible. 3. Make sure you're using the Soul Eater Ring, which doubles soul rates. 4. Use any passive abilities that boost Luck (Ghost Dancer, for instance). Hope that helps!

@robnyc4life A lot of farming. I don't go out of my way to gain any extra experience until the very last episode before the final boss in which I go from Level 93 or so to 99. Otherwise, it's all just due to farming souls and drops.

for red minotaur you should have used killer mantle

Might have been mentioned by someone else earlier, but regarding the Red Minotaurs; those die from a single hit from the Killer Mantle soul. :)
