The Good Samaritan Skit

This was performed during Geon Christian Children's Home annual Thank You Night for sponsors and volunteers. My elementary kids were the actors and I had one of my junior high girls do the narrating. I played the donkey. I wrote the script and had my kids make the backdrops. The boys were all excited about the skit (particularly about the part when the traveler gets attacked). My one elementary girl was really nervous, but did a good job. I apologize that the sound is a bit weak, we weren't able to set up microphones for the kids. I hope you enjoy it...

SCENE ONE
Setting: In the desert

Narrator: One day a man was traveling alone from Jerusalem to Jericho.

Traveler: Hello! I am a traveler.

Narrator: The Traveler was very happy

Narrator: until robbers came and attacked him.

Traveler: What???

Thieves: GET HIM!!!

Thief 1: I have his bag!

Thief 2: I have his jacket!

Thief 3: I have his shoes!

Thief 3: Come on. Lets go!

Narrator: A little later, a priest came walking down the road.

Priest: Hello! I am a priest.

Priest: Oh my! What happened to you???

Priest: Ewww you are dirty! Too much blood! Im sorry, I cannot help you. I am too clean.

Narrator: Next, a Levite came walking down the road.

Levite: Hello! I am a Levite.

Levite: What the what is this???

Levite: Ewww, you smell bad. Im sorry, I cannot help you. I smell too good. Good luck!

Narrator: Last, a Samaritan came walking down the road.

Samaritan: Hello. I am a Samaritan.

Samaritan: Oh no! Are you okay?

Samaritan: Dont worry, I will help you.

Samaritan: Here, let me help you onto the donkey.

Traveler: Thank you

SCENE TWO
Setting: At the Inn

Innkeeper: Hello! I am the innkeeper. Can I help you?

Samaritan: Is this a good inn?

Innkeeper: Yes. We have a swimming pool

Traveler: Yes!

Innkeeper: we have a free PC room

Traveler: Oh yeah!

Innkeeper: and we have a special massage service

Traveler: Hallelujah!

Samaritan: Very good. Is this enough money for him?

Innkeeper: Yes, it is. Workers, come help this man!

Thieves: Heh heh heh

Traveler: Oh no

Thieves: Oh, sorry!

Narrator: So which of these three showed love to his neighbor? The priest? The Levite? Or the Samaritan? It was the man who showed mercy to the Traveler the Good Samaritan.

Traveler: Attention! Bow.
