Historical humorist and internet cartoonist, Kate Beaton is in Studio Q to talk about her new book "Hark! A Vagrant" and to offer some insight on how she mines Canada's often obscure historical figures for nuggets of comedy.

@harrypalmer253 No, I would say cartoonist is perfectly accurate. There's a definite style to her drawing, an economy of line that still conveys such a specific feeling or idea which is certainly more defined and accomplished than mere doodles. To me it recalls the scratchy styles of established and respected illustrators like Quentin Blake.
