Elizabeth Cotten - Honey Babe, Your Papa Cares For You (cover on a Martin 00-15)

Here's a cover of a song I've heard on an Elizabeth Cotten album entitled 'Live!'. I believe that it may be a traditional song, but her version is the only one that I have heard so far (if anyone knows more about the song, I'd love to know!).

I am playing this on my new Martin 00-15 (back on loan from "1artfulbodger", an amazing, small body, mahogany guitar, which I fell in love with as soon as I picked it up, so I hope you enjoy this performance.

search out Harry Taussig's version of this song called "Sugar babe, your papa loves you" It is one of the best acoustic guitar works I've ever heard.
