Ten years ago, on September 11, 2001, we experienced an event so profound and affecting that our families, our country, and indeed our world, have never been quite the same.

TakePart partnered with Mary Fetchet, founder of Voices of September 11 (www.voicesofseptember11.org) and Dr. Stephen Flynn, President, Center for National Policy (www.centerfornationalpolicy.org) on a short film to honor those loved and lost on 9/11.

Voices follows four individuals who, in the wake of the unprecedented tragedy, transformed their overwhelming loss into a measure of unity and resilience.

The film was executive produced by Stephen Flynn, Sean Burke, Chris Gebhardt, Jenna Briand, Daya Wolterstorff, Mary Fetchet, and Frank Fetchet with generous support from Alger Management, Inc. It premiered at the 9/11 Tenth Anniversary Summit: Remembrance/Renewal/Resileince in Washington, DC on September 8, 2011. The Summit kicked off a national movement to foster community and national resilience in the face of future crises.

  • All you idiots who are talking about the president and the war this video isn't about the war it is about the family and friends, trying to come back after losing there loved ones. So those of you disliking this video because of stupid government conspiracy and war, you should really understand that this is about those effected not false flunked military generals. If you really believe that these people are contributing to the war by trying to find there formal self, you should check yourself.

  • Get over youselves idiots. Worse things have happened. Just because you're American it doesn't mean you're worth more than others. No one remembers Srebnica other than Bosniaks. No one remembers Rwanda. No one remembers Sabra & Shatilla. Heck, remember Hiroshima and Nagasaki? 50 thousand people died in only Nagasaki. 9/11 was tragic but get over it.

  • Get over it stupid Americans!

thousands of innocent people have been killed by your forces and you don't see them crying I am sure? :) The world-famous disgusting American-media.

9/11 victims. Yeah okay, fuck the victims. Live with it Americans, you killed people around the world and spitted on them.

  • @xincreasing It was tragic because no human should experience something like that. But 9/11 isn't only being remembered by Americans. It's being imposed on other people to remember it. Yet no one remember the Rwandans or the Japanese, or even the 1 million Iraqis that died.

  • @DMJaber - I understand what you are trying to say, but that doesnt mean you can call Americans idiots. And no, we will not get over it because this was devastating too the United States and millions of people who died or have lost loved ones.

My points is, dont call Americans idiots, just because we have lost lives and loved ones over one event.

  • Lil People run the world check out lil Miss Boss let use know what you think.

  • This has been on the browse section for a while, am I right?

  • Why are some people on here being so ignorant? These people lost their loved ones. Show some respect or don't say anything at all.

  • i dont actually understand why 9/11 is so heavily publicised and the media over exagerated it so much just because it wasin America

  • @DMJaber Good one man, you are the savior of the internet, and the free world.

  • Interesting topic. The comments are a roller-coast of madness.

  • @DMJaber great, make a video about those incidents if you feel so strongly about them. This one just happens to be about 9/11.
