This is the prototype of my home-made laser. It's built with a DVD writer laser diode, and an old HDD.

It reacts on music.
Instead of mounting the laser direct on the arm of the HDD, I'm going to use a small mirror. Then the laser projection will have much more movement.

  • what is the name of this song? :)

  • Hey,

It's one of my own songs;)

It's called "Stek - Core Of Loudness "

  • Nice song you've made. Is there a place where I can download it?

    Many thanks :-)

For your laser projector you should have a bent mirror, which then reflects to a rotating mirror, then you could have an 360 degree laser projector ^^

  • Thx!

To download the song; search "Stek - Core Of Loudness" @ YouTube. In the video description is a download link. (I cant put urls in comments here:S)

  • HOW TO MAKE LASER: first you need a laser...

  • take a hit of acid and it will look awesome the way it is!! lol

  • That might work at a rave party if it could move better with the beat.

  • Awesome project.. if you could get a 50mW or stronger green module onto that and combine in with some galvos/spiros it would look great!

  • Nice sound, good job
