@OculiUbique If you think a drug trip is just wild movies, maybe thats why you are not getting it. If your saying a drug trip is "only" as big as your imagination, that could also be why your not getting it. It's good to be skeptical, but it sounds like you're trying to underestimate the psychedelic experience. Who knows what our imaginations are capable of and what it even is? No one has the anwser for human enlightenment, but trips can show you a whole new prespective of yourself and the world

First of all, I don't understand why everybody thinks that this is an Ayahuasca experience. If yo pay more attention to this movie you can see that there are growing Peyote plants in these sacred mountains. The most important substance of Peyote is mescaline and not DMT like in Ayahuasca. And please don't call any of these devine experiences a ' drugs '. They are sacred to many people including myself.

    Blessings to you all.

DMT mixed with harmine and harmaline IS NOT ayahuasca, but ayahuasca analog. Ayahuasca is a brew with shamanic setting.

Jan Kounen, the French director is initiated ayahuascero, and although it's not a tradition in North America, the film displays somewhat traditional ayahuasca setting. The shaman in the film is authentic Peruvian Shipibo curandero, also Kounen's teacher, wearing traditional Shipibo cloak.

In short, it's nothing but ayahuasca experience. Comparisons with DMT are rather pointless also, as there's so many differences from duration to the content of ayahuasca brew, which also contains harmalines.

IMHO I think you just lost yourself in the details, I understand what and why you're saying it isn't an Ayahuasca experience, but for all of us out there who are interested in it and seeking answers, guidance or just more understanding of what Ayahuasca means, this video is an example. (let's not deny how awesome the special effects are, lol!) and I think that in any "out of body" experience you can't actually see, you can Feel! this guys are just trying to show us how it might appear.. Peace!

You're perfectly within your right to try and tell people 'how it is' with things you don't understand in the slightest... But it sure does make you sound silly.
