A partnership of Australia's ex-service organisations (ESOs) is raising an issue of considerable significance to current serving members of the ADF and to retired military superannuants - namely the inequitable indexation formula for the payment of military superannuation and benefits in comparison with welfare and aged pension payments. The website www.dfwa.org.au provides further information on the FAIR GO! campaign being run in the lead up to the 2010 Federal election.
STEVE GIBBONS the federal member of Bendigo has no interest in our superannuation demands.
He continues to accumulate a superannuation that is indexed to the cost of living which is not considered suitable for Ex-Service Personnel.
I bet he never had to sleep in wet clothes in enemy territory in ambush or eat that dehydrated food served up by baitlayers (no insult intended to the members of the catering corps)

Over the last 20 years military pensions based on compulsory (pre-tax) contributions are 50% of what they should be. Aged and politician's pensions are based on a wage based system, but military pensions are linked to the CPI, which is unfair according to the Bureau of Statistics. For successive governments to do nothing, or worse still say they are going to fix it, and then do nothing for the people that have put their lives on the line for Australia, is nothing short of treachery.

Well done, great to see the media there and let's hope it hits all news channels and forces these treacherous politicians to right the wrong immediately.
