Hah. Sounds like the only taxpayer in america is in here complaining. Ever notice how the word "taxpayer" is always enclosed in a whining statement?
But they never whine about the cost of fuel for, say, "The Blue Angels" or the billion dollar B2 bomber. Just the cost of cheese blocks to feed poor people, or anything that enriches our culture.

It was a gift from the people of the UK in thanks for United States participation in WWII, completed in 1957.
No Massachusetts taxpayers were harmed by enriching people's lives with this ship.
