@OneWorldHistory With all due respect: no way. The Grateful Dead was his major work. That's what he pledged allegiance to. He says so in many interviews. His side projects were numerous, and often very good, but he was first and foremost a member of The Grateful Dead. It's where he hit his highest notes of musicianship no doubt.

I'm always trying to explain to folks that the Grateful Dead was the 'minor' work of Jerry. It's often difficult because of the fame of this one project. Jerr did so much more, all the time, for so many decades. His guitar, voice and style was heard and seen so many places, with so many musicians. Heck, I own five of his ties! As if many know he designed such goofy things. Jerry Garcia was everywhere. Wishing everyone would just get along together. Peace.
