Idiotic comment. This is a flood, not a hurricane. New Orleans experienced a worse 2 day flood than this on May 8th and 9th, 1995. You probably never heard of that, because New Orleans is equipped to handle FLOODING even of this magnitude. No place below sea level is equipped to handle a cat 3 - 5 HURRICANE. For your information, there was and is government assistance to those affected in Nashville.

So sad to see all of this, as I remember visiting this hotel many years ago. Hopefully Tennessee will look into new resources to prevent this? Such as a better water drainage system, and build walls along the Cumberland River?

@Bella24745 Thank Goodness, you know tho, I feel bad for the mall... It was filled with salt water fish! That's just so sad ya know.

My husband helped build the part of the Hotel called the Deltal Island. It is such a tragedy for it to be gone.
